I have been using Quicken since it was first released as a DOS application on my PC and printed my checks with a dot matrix printer. I have scowered the Edit/Preference for a way to turn the Link It Now functionality off but it appears that you have overlooked that and also overlooked that some people do not want to use that kind of functionality. It takes up real-estate on my screen and it offers functionality that I do not want to use and will never use. Please give me a way to turn off link to suggestions. The city where I live does not even offer the possibility for linking to an e-bill therefore this suggestion cannot even be done let alone completed. The suggestion to link the upcoming transaction is for a transaction for a real estate tax bill. I have the register set to Not Show Reminders. In the lower portion of my checking transaction register, in the Downloaded Transactions and Bill and Income Reminders section, Quicken is displaying 2 lines "suggesting" that I link to transactions that are in October, currently it is July.
